Meet the gathering storms

De oorlog in Oekraïne, de verkiezingen in de VS, de toenemende spanning tussen China en de VS, het veranderende speelveld in het Midden-Oosten, een assertiever China en een Europa dat op zoek is naar een nieuwe positie. Er speelt veel in een wereld die op zoek is naar een nieuw evenwicht, dat nog niet direct gevonden lijkt te worden. Als gevolg daarvan zullen onverwachte (en ongewenste) ontwikkelingen waarschijnlijk verder toenemen. Het bedrijfsleven bevindt zich midden in de stormen die voortkomen uit deze zoektocht naar een nieuw evenwicht.

Tijdens de CISO Top gaan CISO’s in gesprek met commissarissen en bestuurders over de stormen waar onze bedrijven zich in bevinden en waarin ze mogelijk terecht kunnen komen. We bespreken uiteraard wat dit betekent voor onze ‘Information Security’, maar wel in de context van de bredere dialoog tussen bestuurders, commissarissen en CISO’s over de risk appetite en wendbaarheid van onze bedrijven. Welke structuren en cultuur willen, kunnen en moeten we als bedrijven neerzetten om succesvol te blijven en stabiel te zijn tijdens de stormen?

The war in Ukraine, the recent elections in the US, rising tensions between China and the US, the shifting dynamics in the Middle East, a more assertive China and a Europe in search of a new role. Much is happening in a world striving for a new balance, which does not seem to be within immediate reach. As a result, unexpected (and often unwelcome) developments are likely to increase. Businesses find themselves at the heart of the storms emerging from this global search for equilibrium.

During the CISO Top, CISO’s will engage in dialogue with supervisory board members and executives about the storms our companies are currently facing and those they may face in the near future. Of course, we will discuss the implications for our information security, but always in the context of the broader conversation among executives, board members, and CISO’s about our companies’ risk appetite and agility. What kind of structures and culture do we want, can we build, and must we establish as organizations to remain successful and stable amidst these storms?
