Fireside chats
During the so-called ‘Fireside chats’ we will discuss specific and contemporary topics with a small group from different disciplines. These discussions will take place in a confidential and homely atmosphere, where the Chatham House Rules apply.
Being structurally ambitious in light of uncertainty
The famous Harold McMillan quote ”events, dear boy, events” nicely sums up the last couple of years. From Covid to a war on the European continent to trade conflicts and uncertainty. What have these uncertainties and shocks done to your business? How have you adapted strategy and operations accordingly? What are your geo-political and macro-economical anticipations going forward? And even more importantly: what opportunities have you discovered along the way and how are you capitalizing on them?
Join Euroclear CFO Nils Jean-Mairet and non-executive director Katleen Vandeweyer as they share their insights and reflections on steering through uncertainty. They will explore how leadership and boards can resist falling into a risk-averse mindset, and instead foster a culture that actively seeks out and seizes opportunity. Nils will also offer a comparative lens on how Europe, the US, and Asia differ in their attitudes toward managing uncertainty and ambition, sharing his observations on the key structural drivers behind these regional approaches and exploring the levers for managers and Boards.
