Fireside chats
During the so-called ‘Fireside chats’ we will discuss specific and contemporary topics with a small group from different disciplines. These discussions will take place in a confidential and homely atmosphere, where the Chatham House Rules apply.
The squeezed economy
What have Covid, the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and subsequent inflation peaks done and what are the current continuing geopolitical tensions and trade tensions doing to the mindset of the consumer? But also what impact are they having on the cost structure of organisations? Frank Sluis shares during this fireside chat his view and the impact at and actions of AholdDelhaize. Afterwards and based on Frank his story we have a discussion about the impact for each organisation at the table (b2c and b2b). In this we focus on actions and reactions (how do and can we avoid a selffulfilling prophecy of squeeze for all?) but also on the scenario’s for the coming years. And the impact on the value chain. How far is squeezing our partners there inevitable and how and where is it avoidable?
